  2. I first met Brian 45 years ago in Lahr, Germany. After returning to Calgary in the 80’s, I was pleasantly amazed that I kept on running into Brian in the most unusual places. I remembered Brian from Lahr as always being the perfect role model of a soft-spoken officer and a gentleman; and, to this day never saw him otherwise. Every year I looked for him at the RCAF Mess Dinner and was always happy when I saw the Stevens family military contingent in attendance.
    I understand fully your loss of this fine man and am sorry I will be out of town on Friday and unable to pass these feelings to you in person at that time.

  5. Dear Bernice and family;
    I want to send you my deepest sympathy on your loss ; I enjoyed being around Brian on 416 — he was a gentleman and someone we young pilots could learn from ; he helped show us ” the ropes ‘ — it was a pleasure to fly with him . And — I will never forget his ” infectious laugh” — it made my day.
