Rudy Stepper, beloved husband of Erna Stepper of Calgary, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 12, 2013 at the age of 83 years.
Rudy was born in Beresina, Romania and immigrated to Canada from Germany in 1953. He founded what is now Stepper Custom Homes in 1956. Rudy was a man of great faith and integrity. He was hard working and committed to his family. Rudy was an inspiration to many. His vision and leadership created a business built on faith, high moral standards and commitment to doing things right. Rudy inspired his family to build on what he had created and grow the business into what it is today.
Rudy is survived by his children, Rose and Marlowe Janke, Harry and Eva Stepper and Sylvia and Brenton Cox; seven grandchildren, Alison Janke, Christen and Justin Laycock, Chuck and Jackie Stepper, Melissa and Paul-Michael Holub, Jeremy Stepper, Jillian Cox and Natalie Cox; and five great-grandchildren; as well as numerous relatives in Canada and Germany. He was predeceased by three sisters, three brothers and a brother-in-law.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Graveside Services will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. A Celebration of Rudy’s Life will be held at Centre Street Church “Central Campus” (3900 – 2nd Street N.E.) on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
