Yvonne Stauber, beloved wife of Dave Hendrickson and mother of Keith Stauber passed away May 17, 2010 at the age of 73 years.

Yvonne was born November 12, 1936 to Martin and Elizabeth Stauber in Pilger Saskatchewan.  As a young girl, Yvonne had many jobs to help out her family and to save enough to attend Business College while being the proud mother of her young son Keith.  Immediately after finishing Business College with honours, she was hired by Esso Resources for a position in the Steno Pool.  Her abilities advanced her to the position of Executive Assistant to the President, where she worked until retiring.  She enjoyed working at Esso Resources and they appreciated her dedication and selflessness. In retirement, she shared with her husband and best friend her love of cooking, the outdoors, fishing, camping, winters in Arizona and most of all her love of friends and family.  Yvonne was pre-deceased by her mother Elizabeth, father Martin, brother Kenneth, and sister Isabelle.  She will be fondly remembered by her husband Dave and son Keith; sisters, Dorothy, Connie, Sharon (Jim); brother Harold (Gen), and many family members and friends.  We thank Yvonne for her smile, her generous heart, and her capacity for giving that was as limitless as the sky.  Our lives have been blessed by her spirit.  A special thank-you to the dedicated and compassionate staff of the ALS Society and our many family and friends for their love and support.  Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Catholic Church (541 Silvergrove Drive N.W.) on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 10:00 a.m.  Graveside Service to follow the reception in the Garden of Everlasting Life at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire, Memorial Tributes may be made directly to The ALS Society of Alberta Suite 400 • 320-23 Ave. SW, Calgary, AB T2S 0J2 or Betty’s Run for ALS, Yvonne’s Team website

  1. Kathleen Graves (nee McClintock) :

Yvonne worked for my father (George McClintock) for several years while at Imperial Oil prior to his retirement in 1980. He was very fond of Yvonne and spoke very highly of her. I also worked at Imperial from 1976-88, and had occasional dealings with Yvonne. She was always cordial, professional and friendly. I can still hear her unique voice inflection when she answered the phone! I have fond memories of Yvonne, and I know she was very much respected within the Esso family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

    Dave & Family

Our deepest condolences with the loss of your wife and mother Yvonne. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time.

We got to know Yvonne as a person who made camping “a joy for all” and she certainly was a special lady who made us (as outsiders) feel very welcome at the Didsbury gas Company campouts.

She loved being involved in the campout sporting activities. Win or loose, she always had a big smile for everyone.

We will miss her a lot!

    John & Helen

  5. Barbara Baldwin :

    Dave and Keith,
It was with deep sadness that we returned from Europe and learned of Yvonne’s passing. We know
her death will be a release from a terrible disease,
but also that she will be missed greatly by many.
She was a wonderful executive assistant to Doug for
many years at Esso and we both relied on her for so
much and she was always so pleasant. We send you
both our deepest sympathy in your loss.
    Doug and Barbara Baldwin.
