Mark Sperry of Calgary, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2011 at the age of 47 years.
Mark was born in Fredericton, NB and was raised in Oromocto, NB. He graduated grade twelve from Oromocto high school and went on to College in Grand Falls, NB where he received his Electrician certificate. He worked for eight years at the Oromocto Golf and Curling Club before moving to Calgary in 1991. Mark worked at the Calgary Stampede grounds for nearly ten years where he received many certificates of recognition, and recently became assistant manager at WalMart, where he had been employed for the past six years. Mark thoroughly enjoyed working on his computer and playing video games and especially enjoyed spending time with Kim, Jr. and the rest of his family.
Mark is survived by his mother Marie (Eddie) LeBlanc of Lincoln, NB, his brother Jay Sperry of Victoria, BC, two sisters Karylann (Darryl) Palmer of Fredericton, NB and Kim (Robert “Jr”) MacPherson of Calgary, three nieces Aleisha, Stephanie and Angel, two nephews James and Christopher and one great niece Twila, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased his father James R.R. Sperry on February 3, 1985, his grandparents Victor and Bertha Hannon.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Thursday, February 24, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. Graveside Service to follow on a later date in Oromocto, New Brunswick Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
