Sylvia Marion Soltek passed away on Tuesday, July 02, 2013 at the age of 83 years.
Sylvia is survived by her three daughters Sharon James, Mona Ancell and Shelley (Howie) Smith all of Calgary, AB; her two sons Fred Soltek of Winnipeg, MB and Dale (Lavonne) Soltek of Calgary, AB.
Sylvia also leaves behind her last surviving sibling Dave Siewert of Lethbridge, Alberta
As a Grandma, she also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, as well as 4 great-grandchildren.
Sylvia was predeceased by her parents Cornelia and Reihold Siewert; her step father Adolf Wurzer, her two brothers Lloyd and George; and by her two sisters Grace and Anne.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 10:30a.m. If anyone wishes to leave a special note or item with Sylvia to take with her, please feel free to bring it with you to the service. My fondest memory was being really excited to peel the crab apples that grew on our tree in the backyard with her when she baby sat me when I was little. I’ll never forget you, Nanny. You were the best.
