  2. Noeleen Taylor (nee Woolsey) Portadown :

    Dear Adelaide & family
On behalf of all my brothers and sisters I would like to send our deepest sympathy to you and all the extended family on the homecall of Sidney.
I haven’t seen Sidney for a good number of years but I have many happy memories of Sidney, Adelaide and family visiting us when we were small and we enjoyed the company of the children.
I also remember Sidney and Adelaide coming to Scotch Street Gospel Hall and I remember visiting their home on nights when they had a number of young people round for fun and fellowship.
We will be thinking of you and praying for you all in the coming days.
    With heartfelt sympathy
From all the Woolsey cousins in Northern Ireland.

  3. Dear Auntie Adelaide :

I would like to extend our deepest sympathies to you, Roberta, Suzi, Andrew, and Vera during this very difficult time. I have some wonderful memories of uncle Sidney, especially the ones in Ireland when I was young boy,and we would visit you all there. Then as I got older, Sidney would make the sacrifices and stay behind to allow you to come and visit us in Toronto, when our family needed you the most. I always thought of him as being a kind and giving man, who would so anything for you, and always made you feel special, and that is how I will remember him. Our thoughts, and prayers are with you all. Love Mark, Sharon, Samantha, and Brook.

  9. Robert and Roberta Williamson :

    Dear Adelaide & family
It is with much sadness that we have heard of the passing of Sidney. There are few people in this world that one is able to call their friend and Sidney was indeed a ‘true friend’ – along with yourself – to both of us. The help and the hospitality shown to us during our stay in Calgary, coupled with the many wonderful times of chatting and fellowship, will not be easily forgotten.
While he now rejoices in the presence of his Lord we nevertheless are conscious of the fact that there will be a vacant seat in the days ahead. Our prayer is that the Lord Himself will comfort and give you strength as you face each day.
With our warmest love and sympathy at this time
    Robert and Roberta

  10. Bruce and Lucille :

Dear Adelaide., Andrew, Roberta, Vera, and Suzie
Your beloved has gone to be in the place that he longed for. He is now with our Lord, walking on the streets of gold; he has seen his Lord face to face and is at peace. Our thoughts go out to you and all the family. May Sid’s memories sustain you, one and all at this sad but joyous time. Yes, we and you will miss all the lovely things about him – the biggest and brightest being that smile and twinkle in is eyes. We will miss his quiet way, but loving manner. Many wise things he talked about will come to our minds at the times when we and you miss him most.
The Lord himself, will sustain and give you peace. All your precious memories you have will give you peace of mind and a closeness until that day when the circle will be unbroken. We love all you and should you need anything from a shoulder to cry on we will be there.
Bless you an keep you forever in his care.
    Sincerely: Bruce and Lucille

  11. Andrew and Joan Woolsey :

    Dear Adelaide, and family,
We were so sorry to learn of the passing of Sidney, and want to assure you of our sincere sympathy and prayers in your time of bereavement. In Christ, the partings are but for a little while, and in the little while, the promises are more precious. He assures us: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you … for I am the Lord your God … your Saviour” (Isa. 43:1-3).

With condolences and remembrance from cousins in the Woolsey connection.

    Andrew and Joan.

  12. Dearest Adelaide, Roberta, Suzie, Vera, and Andrew.
My deepest condolences on the loss of your life long soul mate. Sidney was such a kind and generous person. I always remember the tilt of his head and the twinkle in his eye when he was making a joke or a wisecrack. You were both great friends to mom and dad. You were their touch of Ireland. Sidney has now gone to join them in heaven. No more pain or sorrow and they are enjoying the good memories. Just days before Sidney’s passing I had posted several photos of you both on Facebook. I will share them with you when we meet.
I am most certain that the pain of your loss runs so deep. Do take care of yourself as God has chosen for you to remain behind for his own purpose.
    Much love, Ruth
