I was very saddened by the news that Uncle Davey passed away. My children and I offer our sincerest condolences to his mother, brothers, sisters, daughter, grandchildren and his Aunt. Davey lived with my Uncle Leonard White Quills and my late aunt Angeline Standing Alone. He was a brother, a son and an uncle to everyone in our family. When I was young he was always part of our family. When I got older I married Curtis Smallface which is his first cousin. So Davey has always been a part of our lives. My children knew him by Uncle Davey and when my husband passed away that was the last time I saw him. I often thought about him and wanted to contact him but I never knew where he was. He did contact my uncle Leonard and said he would visit him on his holidays. When I told my aunt Donna of his passing she was very sad, and when she told Leonard he broke down and cried and couldn’t believe his brother had passed. Our entire family is very saddened by this news. “Uncle Davey may the great spirit guide you on your journey home, we miss you and will never forget the times we shared….till we meet again…”

I am Davey’s baby-brother on the Smallface side of the family. I was very sad when our cousin Jr Manson had facebooked me and told me about my big-brother. I could not believe that he was gone. The last time I had seen Davey and met Mark for the first time in my life was back in 2003. They had come to Montana and were staying at our Laura Gervais home. I had went there and visited my brothers. I was wanting to contact Davey and have him come to Montana and visit me. Then I get that message on facebook about my brother. My aunt Laura, cousins Tom and Casey and I had traveled to Davey’s services. I will always remember my brother and miss him. He is the first sibling I have lost on both sides of my families. Davey will always be in my heart until we meet again. Rest in peace brother.
    God Bless Hank
