SLACK, Shannon Gay

June 16, 1963 – December 18, 2013

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden loss of our mother, daughter, sister and dear friend. Shannon was born and lived most of her life in Calgary. She passed away at the age of 50 in her Grande Prairie home.

She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Taylor and Meagan; her parents, Sharleen, Verna and Willard (deceased 2001); her brothers, John and Fred; and her many friends.

Shannon could brighten up a room anywhere she went and her smile and laugh will forever be missed by many.

A Celebration of Shannon’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

In living memory of Shannon Slack, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.

  2. Michelle Northcut :

I only had the pleasure of meeting Shannon a few times but the first time you meet her, you know that you have met a true friend. Shannon was definitely a bright happy person and her laughter was infectious! She was a wonderful friend to my sister-in-law Lorraine Northcut and will be deeply missed by all that knew her. My deepest condolences to her family in this very sad and difficult time. I am sure that Shannon’s bright light is shining down on them.
