SIEGEL, Edward Andrew Ralph (Ed)

May 19, 1929 – May 6, 2012

Edward Siegel, passed away just shy of his 83rd birthday on Sunday, May 6, 2012.

Ed was born in Calgary and raised on a farm near Champion, Alberta. He was a good husband and father who enjoyed wrestling, tossing a football, camping and fishing with his wife and kids. Ed enjoyed working careers with the CPR Police (Red Deer, Banff, Lake Louise and Calgary) and the Court of Queen’s Bench (Calgary).

Ed is survived by his son Larry (Claudine) Siegel of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and daughter Darlene (Darcy) Johnson of Calgary, Alberta, as well as by his grandchildren Brent and Christopher, Amber and Crystal; five great grandchildren and his younger brother Marvin Siegel.

Ed was predeceased by his wife Vivian Siegel (1999).

At Ed’s request no service will be held. The family wishes to thank the staff at the George Boyack for their care of Ed during his stay there. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

    My heart felt condolences to the Siegel family. I worked at Queen’s Bench with Ed and remember him fondly. He was truly a gentleman. I’m still working at the Court House and I have a picture of Ed and rest of Court Services Security, as we were known at that time.
