Shantz, Jason (Jay) Merlynn Victor

Jason (Jay) Merlynn Victor Shantz, of Calgary passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2005 at the age of 20 years.

Jay was born on June 12, 1984 in Calgary and received his education in Calgary. He graduated from Lord Beaverbrook High School in 2002. Jay loved sports, especially hockey, and had played on various hockey leagues for eight years. He also enjoyed fishing on the Bow River. Jay will be remembered for being a happy, bubbly guy.

Besides his loving parents, Dianne and Ted Shantz, Jay is also survived by his sister Shannon, all of Calgary; his grandparents, Merlynn and Helen Shantz of Bowmanville, ON; Vic and Marion Nesdoly of Calgary; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends in Calgary and Ontario; as well as his many “Buds in the Hood.”

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through
