Condolence Messages

  1. Mike Anthony :

My condolences to all the family members who are grieving the loss of Uncle George. I have many memories of Uncle George. I always remember him as having the cool and fun vehicles when I was young. I looked forward to every time that he would take me on a drive in his cars. Further on into adulthood I enjoyed camping with him at Uncle Bruce’s farm. We had good times talking cars, music, dogs and his sons Brian & Bruce.
Uncle George was a very kind hearted and genuine. He will be missed dearly.

  3. Pastor Robert & Jackie Parmenter :

    To Marilyn & Family!
We heard on Monday of the passing of Brother “George Scrivner”. Our heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to you and to the family. We are sorry that we cannot be with you, but be assured that our prayers and thoughts are with you as you go through this loss!
Hold tight to memories for comfort, lean on your friends for strength, and always remember how much you are cared about and loved. When you lose someone you love, you gain an angel you know! Those we love don’t go away, They walk beside us every day, Unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed and very dear.
It is said that 2 things influence people more than anything else, that is the books we read and the people we meet! I believe that George had met a lot of people and had an impact on their lives.
Let the hope we have be our comfort. I am reminded of the words of a good old hymn: What a day that will be?
There is coming a day when no heartaches shall come, No more clouds in the sky no more tears to dim the eye, All is peace forevermore on that happy golden shore, What a day glorious day that will be

There’ll be no sorrow there no more burdens to bear, No more sickness no pain no more parting over there, And forever I will be with the One who died for me, What a day glorious day that will be!
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21:4
May the Peace and Love of our Lord and Savior surround you and comfort you during this time.
    With Love and Prayers

    Pastor Robert & Jackie Parmenter!

Poppy is a very loving man who touched everyone he met and always had a positive impact on their lives. He was always singing and what a beautiful voice he had! I loved hearing him sing praises to The Lord and serenading Nanny at the dinner table. Poppy knew how to brighten someone’s day wether it was cracking a joke or giving a compliment those were things that came easily to him and everyone will cherish them always. He’s a very important man and I look up to him always. He’s got charisma and integrity and was so devoted to God that it inspires me to do better in everything I do. Poppy is an incredible person who will be loved and treasured for years to come. All those who hold him dear to their heart will always remember him as a thoughtful, loyal and a caring person who without doubt loved everyone he met with his whole being. I love you Poppy. We were so saddened to hear of George’s passing. We are so thankful we got to meet him and spend time getting to know him at our family reunion 2 years ago. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. God is our refuge and strength. We have proven that to be so true these past few days. Rest in the comfort that our Heavenly Father is with us. The Bible says “blessed are those who die in The Lord”. Take care and when we visit Calgary we have to go out to the Olive Garden just for George.
