Surrounded by love, Laurel passed away peacefully at Intercare Chinook Hospice on Monday, February 4, 2008 at the age of 74 years.
Born and raised in Calgary, Laurel married the love of her life, John, on April 2, 1953; their life together was blessed with three daughters, each enjoying a unique relationship with their mother. Laurel enjoyed a long and rewarding career as a legal assistant, last working for Laven & Co. Mom was a great lady who lived life with grace and class. She enjoyed long walks and lunches with friends and family, a rousing game of bridge, a great round of golf, a few pulls of the slots and a good banana split. Mom will be best remembered for the long and deep friendships she maintained and inspired – she touched the lives of many.

Also survived by sisters Jean (Jack) Leslie, Joyce (Hal, deceased) Cox, Ferrol (Stan) Winning, her brother Rob (Hallie) Logan, brother-in-law Bill (Glennis) Hartley and their families as well as nieces Jackie Scott and Bobbie Dukelow (nee Scott) of Winnipeg.
