June 25, 1923 – April 18, 2010
It is with great sadness that the family of Elsie Schuler announce her passing on the morning of Sunday, April 18, 2010, after a brief battle with cancer.
Mom had been retired for the past twenty years but prior to her retirement, she was an extremely accomplished florist and had been employed with Woodward’s and Brinks Florist for a number of years. Mom was an avid sports fan and nothing made her happier than sitting around watching a Calgary Flames hockey game with her family. Other than being an avid sports fan, she loved to knit and over the course of her life made literally hundreds of baby sweaters and other garments for numerous family and friends. Her other favourite past time was bowling which she did on a weekly basis throughout the year and I know she will be missed by all her friends at the Bowling Depot in Deerfoot. One of the other things that she enjoyed was her numerous shopping excursions with her friends Lora and Nessie and her daily coffee sessions with her many friends at the apartment block.
Elsie leaves behind her children, Rick (Pat) and Greg (Wendy); and her four grandchildren, Brad, Ashley, Maddie, and Ben as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 CROWFOOT CIRCLE N.W.), on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. You may forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com .
