SCHORL, Anna-Lise

March 12, 1933 – May 17, 2012

Anna-Lise Schorl passed away on Thursday May 17, 2012 at the age of 79 years after a battle with lung cancer.

She was born in Denmark and moved to Calgary in 1963. Anna worked at the Calgary Danish club from the day it opened till she retired 30 years later.

Anna is survived by her son Allan (Dayna) and three grandchildren Deanna, Lisa and Haylee; and by her three sisters Anita, of Calgary, and Martha and Lisabeth, of Denmark; as well as numerous nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, her son Kim in 1973 and her sister Inga.

    Anna-Lisa was someone I enjoyed very much when I met up with her at Anita’s.Whenever we went to the Danish Club she was our server. I will always remember her as a warm, gentle person which we will always miss. My sorrow goes to her family at this difficult time.
