Lilly was the best friend anyone could ask for. I was friends with her for 35 years. She would give you the shirt off her back. If you wanted to have a good giggle their was no better to have it with than Lil.
We had many wonderful trips together along with my sister. We Travelled all over BC and once to Vegas . I will miss my morning phone calls. Love you Lolli (that was her nickname)

Nelson, Jan, Delvin and Katie and family:

It is hard to believe that someone so full of life can be gone so quickly. I loved Aunt Lil so much, she was the most amazing Aunt, always there for you, a soft shoulder to lean on and always up for fun, laughter and ALOT of giggles. She has set a great example of what an Aunt should be and I hope I can live up to at least part of her example. My heart is broken, I will miss her terribly.
A short poem that has brought me some comfort

I thought I saw her face today
In the sparkle of the morning sun
And then I heard the angel say
“Her work on earth is done.”

I thought I heard her voice today
    Then laugh her hearty laugh
And then I heard the angel say
“There’s peace little one at last.”

I thought I felt her touch today
In the breeze that rustled by.
And then I heard the angel say.
    “The spirit never dies.”

I thought that she had left me
For the stars so far above
And then I heard the angel say
“She left you with her love.”

I thought that I would miss her
    And never find my way.
And then I heard the angel say
    “She’s with you every day.”

Rest in Peace Auntie – I Love You

Your mom was truly one of a kind. She will forever hold a special place in my heart. I don’t know if there was a kinder, funnier, warmer or more generous person than your mom. I hope it warms your heart to know how important she was too so many. Thank you for sharing her with me and my family all these years.
    Love
Lindsay, Bradley and Matthew Houghton (Carter)

I had the pleasure of meeting Lil through her son Delvin and we were instant friends from the moment we met. Her kind heart, pleasant personality and wonderful spirit were a joy to be around. I see that pleasant personality and wonderful kind spirit shine through her sons and grandchildren. We too shared many giggles like school girls even in our later years. So much healthy life left to live – or so we thought. My heart goes out to you on the huge loss of your mother. As her nephew, I thank you for being a family she was justifiably so proud of. You all made her a very rich woman in the things that matter.

  12. Ken Steinwand :

What a shocker, I thought at first it was another joke Lil was playing but soon realized my sister was much too serious when telling me Lil had left us.
She was one of those special friends you always would anticipate her arrival and never want her to leave. I can’t remember a time together when we would both cry from laughing.
Lil will be sadly missed and yet when I think of her I smile and am thankful for all the great times enjoying life her on earth however short.
Thank you to my sister for the bird house which Lil and Art had made. An awesome reminder of her life, how she could decorate your day!

Our condolences to you Nelson,vDelvin and family
    May the Lord bless you

Nelson, Jan, Delvin and Katherine. My deepest Sympathy to you and your families. I worked with Lil for many years at Stampede Park. It was always a thrill to walk in the first day and see that Lil was working on the same line. I knew it was going to be a great Meet. She was so full of life and fun. We had so many laughs and giggles, and I’m sure we lost more bets than we won. If Lil had a bad day no one ever knew. She was so positive and happy all the time, a real joy to be around. She will be missed.
