Ron Sasaki of Okotoks, passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the age of 61 years.

Ron was born and raised in Toronto and then moved to Calgary to complete high school in the early 1970’s. In 1989, he then moved with his family from Calgary to Okotoks. Living close to the Rocky Mountains allowed Ron to pursue his much loved hobbies such as flying, diving and camping.

Ron is survived by his mother Mary Terakita, brother Ted Sasaki, daughter Farrah Sasaki, niece Becky Sasaki, nephew Jon Sasaki, his partner Betty Munroe.

He was predeceased by his father Senji Sasaki and step-father Mutsuo Terakita.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

  5. We are so sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. Being Christmas Eve, Eric was looking up Ron’s phone number to wish a Merry Christmas. When seeing that the number was no longer in service, he googled Ron to see if he could locate him. What an unexpected surprise to find his obituary. He was a good friend since high school. I will miss my ‘Hip to be Nip’ friend. Please accept our condolences at this difficult time. Sorry that we were unaware of his passing. Take care.
