Condolence Messages

  1. My deepest sympathy to the family of Joyce. I feel like I know many of you because while volunteering at the Lacombe Centre, she would often speak of you. She was very proud of her family and, as stated in the announcement, loved to also talk about her dear husband and how she longed to see him again. She also gave me numerous gardening tips! She was a dear, sweet lady and I feel blessed to have known her. My thoughts are with you all today.

  2. I visited Joyce for many years while volunteering at Father Lacombe Care Centre. She was a very special person, with a love for life and family. I enjoyed hearing about the love of her life, Ross and farming in Alberta. I know she will be missed by all. My deepest sympathies to your family, she was an amazing person. It has been an honour to have known her.

  3. Mrs. Ruth Whittaker Prime :

Although you don’t know me, I knew your mother and dad through my aunt and uncle, Ruth and Clarence Peppard of DeWinton, now both deceased.
On several occasions I had the pleasure of visiting your mother on the farm at Midnapore. She was such a refined, gracious and kind woman and I remember her delightful smile and laugh.
My aunt and uncle thought very highly of your parents…your dad having worked for my uncle at one time.
I also have great memories of your dad. I remember going to the Millarville Races and Picnic on July 1st and seeing you, Jenny with your sheep, and your dad with his birds. I am sure your mother exhibited her flowers but because I was such a tomboy I always went with my uncle to look at the livestock!
I am sad that people like your parents, and my aunt and uncle are slowly dwindling as they taught us much and were such good examples to us.
    Please accept my deep condolences.

    Ruth Prime
