My sincere condolences to Paula, Jack, Doreen and families. I am very glad to have spent time with John over the last few years when I visited Calgary.
Most times Doreen had John for dinner at her house but we did have lunch with him when he was living in downtown Calgary. He was always happy and we shared lots of laughs. Please know my thoughts and sympathies are with you at this difficult time. Nonie

Paula and Marshall,
Please accept our sincerest condolences. John was a most kind and caring individual, very gentle with a great sense of humor. Laughter came easily to John.
He was a wonderful companion to Vera for many years and they shared many good times together helping each other through the tragedy of their losses.
Our thoughts are with you especially Paula.

[...] Still pretty broken up about this. That was very tough, but at least I was there. Anyhow, below is what I’ll read at the service in Calgary this Monday. They advised us to keep to the cheerful, positive stuff. Sadly, going to two services in September for friends prepared me a little. One good thing, it’s brought me closer to family. Finally, they put his obit up: [link] [...]
