ROSS, Florence Myrtle “Betty” (nee Cartwright)

September 14, 1928 – September 4, 2012

Betty, as she was fondly known, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital at the age of 83.

Born and raised in Calgary, she enjoyed riding her horse in the Stampede Parade, rescuing animals, gardening, skiing, building her mountain cabin, and sharing time with family and friends.

Betty will be lovingly remembered by her dear husband of 60 years, Jim Ross; daughter Wendy Ross, son-in-law Grant Molyneux; grandson Scott Ross-Molyneux; niece Marianne Gray; nephew Dale Kirkwood, his wife Heather and their son Justin; and sister-in-law Esther Cartwright. Her brother Bud; her sister Elsie; mother Myrtle Cartwright of Blackpool, England and father Bernie Cartwright of Sheffield, England predeceased her.

A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through
