Edward John Romanko, beloved husband of Shirley, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17, 2006 after a six year battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
Ed was a family man who enjoyed a great game of golf, a cross country ski trail, and being an armchair critic of football, hockey, and curling. Ed was a “people person” where he worked in acquiring the accounts for CIBC Dealer Plan. After a 23 year career Ed semi-retired and went and sold a few cars to keep busy.
Ed will be missed by his wife of 43 years, Shirley; his daughter Gwenodene (Gerald) Hemming; and his brother Walter (Cecile) Romanko, of White Rock; aunt Dorothy Chrun of Cudworth, Saskatchewan; and his cousins, nieces, and nephews. Ed was predeceased by his father Steven in August 1983; his brother Orest in February 1984; and his mother Mary in June 2004.
