Rolf Rohde of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at the age of 85 years.

Rolf was born in Celle, Germany.

Rolf is survived by his spouse Gerda; son Dieter; daughter Angelica (Andy); granddaughter Kristin (Justin); grandsons Kyle and Daniel; and great-grandsons Chayse and Peter.

    Liebe Gerda, liebe Familie Rohde,
    mit großer Traurigkeit haben wir vom Ableben Deines Mannes, eures Grossvaters und Urgrossvaters erfahren.
    Am 7. Januar habe ich noch mit ihm via Skype gesprochen.
    Wir sind sehr, sehr traurig und werden ihn nach den vielen Gespraechen sehr vermissen.
    Wir wünschen euch für die naechste Zeit vie Trost und Kraft und sind in Gedanken bei euch allen.

    Dear Gerda, dear family Rohde,
    With great sadness we learned of the death of your husband, your father, grandfather and great grandfather.
    On 7 January, I’ve spoken with him via Skype. We are very, very sad and will miss him for the very many discussions. Much we have talked about his old home. He will always be remembered us!
    We wish for the next time much comfort and strength and thoughts are with you all.
