Mary Robinson of Calgary passed away at home on Monday, September 29, 2014 at the age of 89 years.
Mary was a child of St. Martin’s Indian Residential School in Wabasca, AB. Despite the challenges she faced in life, she persevered to raise her children as a single parent and remained an example of love and family values.
Mary is survived by eight children Eugene, Elizabeth, Josephine, Darlene, Shirley, John, Marcella and Robyn; twenty grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her brother Dolphus Cardinal, several nieces and nephews and multiple bingo friends. Mary was predeceased by her husband Gordon in 1968; infant son Darrell in 1958 and her brother David in 1972.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North) on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
