Leonard Bowman Robertson, (Military Cross), husband of Edna Robertson, of Calgary, Alberta, and formerly of Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away peacefully at his home after a courageous battle with lung cancer, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, April 19, 2009, at the age of 90.
He is survived by his wife, the former Edna E. Bell; one daughter, Janet Champion (John), of Calgary, Alta.; two sons, Leonard B. Robertson (Laysha), of Delta, B.C. and Ian D. Robertson, of Edmonton, Alta.; one sister, Louise Bongard, of Toronto, Ont.; four grandchildren, Richard & Michael (Deja) Robertson and Timothy Champion & Barbara(Dave)Hyciek; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Roy W. Robertson; one sister, Ocenia Robertson; one brother, James I. Robertson.
A Celebration of Len’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. A Funeral service with interment will take place in Miramichi (Chatham), New Brunswick at a later date.
