RINEHART, Donald Mervin

February 21, 1927 – Didsbury, AB
November 7, 2013 – Calgary, AB

Don Rinehart, beloved husband of Shirley Rinehart, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013.

Don was born and raised in Alberta. Growing up on a farm in Westcott near Didsbury, he left at an early age to join the Merchant Marines. Having travelled the world post war, he made his way back to Alberta where he met his loving wife of 61 years. They moved to Calgary where they started a family and a successful business. Don is survived by his wife Shirley Rinehart; two daughters Gail and Sandra Rinehart; sons-in-law, Ken McDonald and Louis Bourgeois; three grandsons, Todd Lafontaine, Colin McDonald, and Bradley Bridgewater, and one great-granddaughter Sloane Turcotte. Don was kind, compassionate and his love for animals was parallel to none. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 2:30 p.m.
