RIDLEY – Madeline May

February 28, 1920 – August 25, 2009

Madeline May Ridley of Calgary passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at the age of 89 years.

Mom married the love of her life Harold. Together they lived in Calgary until 1973 when they sold their business, Ridley’s Cycle, and retired to Bragg Creek.

Maddy is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Gary, Wendy and Terry, and Judy and Gerry; grandchildren, Nancy (Brent), Gord (Brenda), Nathan, Barbara, Shawn, and Meegan (Phil); great-grandchildren, Tamia, Amber, Alyssa, Nicole, and Kory; brother Sheldon; and sisters-in-law, Anne and Joan. Maddy was predeceased by her husband Harold and son Walter.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Monday, August 31, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of the donor’s choice.

  4. To Sharon, Wendy, Judy and your families: I’m really going to miss your Mom a lot as she was so good to me. I remember many nights looking after you kids (in your home in the back of the store) while our parents went out for the evening so our history goes back a long way. More recently when your Mom was still out at Bragg Creek, I used to pick her up and we would go for a picnic at the Falls. It was so nice to see her out there at Mom’s service. She was a wonderful lady. Terry
