RICHARDSON – Edward Charles

November 15, 1915 – January 12, 2010

Ed father of Cheryl Berridge and Lauren Rendle passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, after a brief illness, at the age of 94 years.

Ed is survived by four grandsons, Michael Berridge, David Berridge, Kyler Rendle (Theresa Hennessey) and Keir Rendle and his daughter Kennedy. He was predeceased by Mildred his wife of forty-three years and son-in-law Michael Berridge.

Ed worked for Gestetner Duplicating Machines for over forty-five years until his retirement at age 65. He loved the outdoors – camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, and chopping wood – leaving his family with a lifetime of good memories and wonderful stories. A Memorial bench is planned for Kananaskis Country one of dad’s favourite destinations.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

    Sorry to find your Dad in the obits this morning (great photo).
    On the bright side, you were very lucky to have him as long as you did. As I mentioned before, I had the chance to meet him at Sarcee last year. He seemed amazing for his age & looked so smart.

    You did a wonderful thing by having him with you until he went into Sarcee.
    Trust your happy memories/stories will help comfort you at this difficult time so you might celebrate his life rather than mourn his loss.

    Especialy since you recently lost your brother-in-law, I can’t imagine all you are going through. My thoughts & treatments go out to you. Take care. BTW…heard you retired! Good for you!
