REID – Norma Signe (nee Peterson )

June 21, 1925 – May 16, 2010

Norma Reid, beloved wife of the late Cecil Reid of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at the age of 84 years.

Norma was born on June 21, 1925 in Meeting Creek, AB. She married Cecil in 1947 and farmed in Meeting Creek, AB for ten years before moving to Calgary.

Norma is survived by her children Brenda (Doug), Bruce (Vera), Roger (Loretta), Brian(Jackie); nine grandchildren; and sister, Evelyn Anes of Kelowna, B.C. Norma was predeceased by her husband of fifty-six years Cecil Reid.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Foothills country Hospice, Box 274, Okotoks, AB T1S 1A5 Telephone: (403) 995-4673.

    Grandma it’s been almost 5 years since you left us. I miss you so much especially all the stories you told of your past when you were a teenager.

    I have two amazing twin daughters now and my little Juniper looks just like you when she sleeps..

    I know you and my mom are together and having a blast somewhere out there. When you see mom tell her I love her and miss her. When you see grandpa tell him I miss him and I alway think of him in the summer when I see green grass and nice yards.
