  2. Frank was a very special man and an inspiration to all that knew him. His gentle manner and genuine care and concern for his fellow man was obvious to those of us that worked with Frank in the Union movement. I have known Frank for ten or more years but it was in the last 7 years that I had the pleasure to work closely with Frank in the Union movement. I will forever be positively impacted from having known Frank and as Frank was never one to boast; I want his family to know how dedicated he was to his Union family as well and how much he meant to his Union Brothers and Sisters.
    CUPE will miss Frank.

Frank was an avid photographer and he must have captured thousands of images over the years…..what he probably never realized is that he also captured our hearts with his quite wisdom and honest, sincere, and caring manner. I always enjoyed chatting with Frank and was especially excited to talk to him about his planned trip to Newfoundland (my home Province) this summer with his wife. He always greeted me the same…”How are ya doin young fella” I will miss that. I will miss Frank. I am a better person from having known Frank.

    Frank was special.
My sincerest condolences to all of you. Frank will be missed.

  7. “If this rain keeps up it will never come down!”

Frank didn’t always tell the best jokes, they sometimes elicited more groans than laughs, but he had a sense of fun, and a sense of beauty.

He did more than he said (200 units of blood to the Red Cross and Canadian Blood Services for example, helping over 600 people)and he was humble and modest about what he did.

He was always there to help, whether it was at school, his union, the Friends of Medicare, Calgary Ups and Downs or just friends and family.

If you want to know what he cared about look at his photos: family, people, and nature.

He will be missed by many, and I’m proud to have been his son-in-law.
