Condolence Messages

  1. Don and Susie Read :

Dear family. We are saddened to hear of the passing of our dear Aunt Louise.
Our two daughters, Micah and Jessica went to college in Strathmore so we visited her whenever we came up.
Lovely woman and aunt. She couldn’t say enough good about her family whenever we visited.
    We will miss her.

    Some memories I have:
Christmas at our house when you visited and sleeping on cots in the basement.
    Aunt Louise’s laugh.
The smooth sound of her voice.
Uncle Earl put ketchup on his eggs at breakfast (I had never seen that before).

    Please stay in touch.

All my love to your family…thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

I had the pleasure of meeting my great aunt when I lived in Calgary in 1999. It was wonderful to spend some time, however brief, with such a lovely woman.

  5. I had the pleasure of meeting Louise at Woodcliff United Church when we were part of the same care group organized by the church. My husband and I have very fond memories of that group and especially of Louise. I visited her at her home about a year and a half ago and had a lovely visit over a cup of tea. I stopped to chat with her at church when ever we both happened to be there on the same day. Louise always asked about my mom who is also on oxygen. May your memories of a caring, inspiring woman help to ease your sorrow.

  6. Aunt Louise was a great aunt, providing a thoughtful perspective, always with humour, on life. Every time I think of her it’s with a smile. She will be missed. Fortunately, her wonderful characteristics, such as being a thoughtful, fun, friend, are evident in her family, to whom I extend my most sincere condolences.

  7. Dear cousins,

The Cheston family will miss Auntie Louise. She was very loving and gave us great strength during her sisters (my grandmothers) battle with cancer. I know that I will miss her, even though I did not see her that often. My support goes out to Auntie Louise’s family.

  8. Patricia Booker :

    Dear Read Family,

Louise was the dear friend of my Aunt Jo (Josephine Saunders), who passed away more than ten years ago now. I remember theirs as a wonderful friendship, and especially Louise’s loyalty, support and loving care in my Aunt’s final years. I remember so clearly Louise’s wonderful laugh and her kindness, and that Louise and Jo had such fun together!

Please accept sincere condolances from the Booker family.

  9. Bernice Humphrey :

    Dear Read Family,

We were neighbours to the Reads in Wildwood and also knew Louise through Woodcliff.

I would like to donate, on behalf of Louise, to the Meals on Wheels organization. My good friend and I lunched each time after our volunteer deliveries.

Please accept sincere condolences from the Humphrey Family.
