Rauch, Darrell Wayne

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Darrell Wayne Rauch at the age of 48 years on Monday, September 10, 2007.

For more than fifteen years, Darrell was in a supervisory and management position at various companies in the oil and gas sector of Calgary. Darrell’s passions in life included golfing and his artwork.

He is survived by his daughter Stephanie (Darren) Copeland; parents Gordon and Dorothy Rauch of Peachland, BC; two brothers, Garry (Linda) and Bruce (Monica) of Calgary; three nephews, Steven Rauch, Brent Rauch and Kory (Andrea) Proude; a niece Kobie (Keto) Proude; and a great-nephew Kyler Proude-Allen, all of Calgary; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

  2. We never met Darrel but we are lucky to own some of his paintings and 2 large paintings of the Banff area. We consider him one of the greatest painters in Canada (PERIOD) and we feel lucky that we could afford his brilliant work.

    So sorry to hear about his death,I didn’t know ,I aquired one of his paintings the other day and was trying to find out some information on him,I knew that he was born in 59 and when I looked further I found out that he had died in 07,sorry to have found out,way too young to die,what a lose,its always the good people die first!!!—Don
