Condolence Messages

  1. Jane Henderson :

    Dear Gerda and family.
I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Folmer’s passing last evening. I was immediately overwhelmed by many memories of him, especially my wonderful visit with him in June after the senior’s event at Church. He joked that I wouldn’t need him anymore now that I had a new folding machine at the church, but I assured him I would still need his hugs, wonderful insights, unabashed candidness and spiritual wisdom. I will now cherish the memories of these. I will now chuckle alone, as he and I often did, about my Michael wanting to be a custodian, just like Folmer, when he was at Preschool those many years ago. Folmer was his hero!! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time, but we share the comfort that he now enjoys his reward with his God in heaven. With much love and many hugs, Jane, Katie and Michael Henderson xo

Gerda, Janet, Sarah-Beth, Bruce and Judy—

I am so saddened to hear of Folmer’s passing. I spent so much time at the farmhouse in Dalum that I came to think of him as Dad-2, and how lucky was I to be able get to know him! He was always warm and loving and full of fun. As I write, memories of him fill me with warmth and put a smile on my face. I am thinking of you all and hope that your memories take away some of the pain of loosing him.

    Much love to you all–

    Catherine
