Condolence Messages

  1. Charlotte Cormier :

I met Molly at St. Thomas United and I first got to know her through the church library. She was always so grateful for the books I brought and she really kept that place organized! Later on we met at shawl knitting….a wonderful way to contribute to others and a great opportunity to get to know each other. I cherish the special shawl pattern from England that she copied for me. We often met in the back row of the church on Sunday mornings! I will dearly miss her presence, her positive attitude and her wonderful smile. My deepest condolences to each of you.

I am so saddened by Molly’s passing. She was an amazing woman and an inspiration to everyone with her steadfast strength of spirit, gentle soul and incredible giving through her unending acts of kindness. My heart and prayers go out to Heather and Glenn who have been through so much heartache already in their short lives and to her grandbabies who Molly cherished deeply. Know that Molly’s legacy lives on and she will not be forgotten ever. We will all miss her.

I loved to make Molly laugh because when she chuckled she really chuckled! She was such a wonderful person. I loved having Molly as my substitute teacher because I could rely on her to get any job done and more importantly the children really enjoyed her visits due to her gentle natured and loving way.
Thinking of your family and of the great loss to the teaching profession.

    Heather and Glenn (and family)
We are so sorry to hear about Molly. We have known your family since the early years in Winnipeg. Al and Molly shared many laughs and memories as leaders in the Southdale Cub Group. Your Mom was a wonderful person. She was especially proud of her family and talked with pride of her grandchildren. I will always cherish my Christmas ornaments that she made and sent over 12 years representing the 12 days of Christmas.
Our sincerest sympathy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

  6. Allison Foster :

I was sorry to learn of the passing of your mother. I got to know her a few years ago through my sister, Deb Roulston. Molly subbed several times for me. After I retired and became a sub myself, we ran into each other a few times at different schools. I enjoyed chatting to your mom as she always had a smile on her face and was happy to see me. May it help you to know that I have been thinking about you.

  8. Debbie Roulston :

I am deeply saddened by Molly’s passing. She was a kind, gentle, caring lady who left us far too soon.

I got to know Molly when her family moved from Winnipeg to Calgary. Molly and I taught Sunday School together and over the years became good friends. The last few years before I moved away from Calgary we spent Wednesday evenings at shawl knitting; enjoying the purpose of the project but even more, the camaraderie of the knitting circle.

I appreciate the opportunity I had to chat with Molly before her passing…wish it could have been in person.

Although I am not there to give you hugs please know that I send you support in my thoughts and prayers. May the memories you have of your wonderful mother give you comfort and strength today and in the days ahead.

    With heartfelt sympathy,
    Debbie Roulston

  11. Heather Nwaerondu :

Molly was such a wonderful person. I sat on the Substitute Teachers Group, Local 38 with Molly. She was a hard-worker and would readily volunteer to assist with various tasks when we had substitute get-togethers. I respected and appreciated her input at meetings. Often her opinion was the logical choice when an issue arose. To her children and grand-children: Molly was a great individual. You should be proud! May God comfort you in your sorrow and know that Molly is no longer in pain and one day we will all meet again. Amen!
