Mrs. Eleanor Ralston (nee Minchin) formally of New Perth P.E.I. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the Newport Harbour Care Centre, in Calgary at the age of 80 years.

Eleanor was a wonderful, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who could put a smile on all of our faces with her delightful graces. She was an amazing lady and will be greatly missed by all.

Eleanor is survived by her sister, Rachel (Floyd) MacDonald; her brother, John Minchin ; four step-daughters and their families, Sheila (Kevin) Lewis, Sharon (Arnold) Hagel, Lynne ( Darcy Coombs) Ralston, and Barbara (Jim) Bauer; eight grandchildren; three great- grandchildren (with another on the way); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Eleanor was predeceased by her loving husband Melvin J. Ralston; and her sister-in-law Lois Minchin.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Airdrie Funeral Home (300 Towerlane Drive, Airdrie, Alberta) on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 2 p.m. The service will be officiated by Rev. Susan Lukey; also a luncheon will follow at 3:00pm at Woodside Senior Club at 411 Woodside Drive NW, Airdrie.
