QUATTRUCCI, Concetta

September 10, 1927 – Arce, Frosinone, Italy
February 11, 2015 – Calgary, Alberta

Concetta Quattrucci passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the age of 87 in Calgary.

Left to mourn are her three beloved children, Silvana Corradetti, Tony Quattrucci, and Aldo (Bonnie) Quattrucci; cherished grandchildren, Dean (Britt) Corradetti, Justin Corradetti, and Jason Quattrucci; and her great-grandchildren, whom she adored, Jacob and Cadence Corradetti.

Concetta was predeceased by her siblings, Domenico, Chiara and Giuseppe, all of Italy and Arcangelo and most recently Paul, both of Calgary.

Mom married Giuseppe Quattrucci in February 1955 and immigrated to Canada in July of the same year. With all their belongings in one suitcase, they ventured from their homeland with open minds and ambitious hearts in search of opportunity. They settled and started their family in Calgary with the birth of their daughter, Silvana, in 1956, followed by Tony in 1959 and Aldo in 1962.

Connie Q (a nickname she gave herself) was a hard worker and possessed excellent work ethics, which she demonstrated daily. Gardening was one of her passions, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and preparing delicious meals for all to enjoy. Of course, a good meal was always accompanied by a well-deserved glass of red wine!

Mom’s favorite saying was, “Eat, drink and keepa-go” … and we, as her family, promise to keep her legacy alive.

We love you and will miss you dearly.
Rest in peace, Ma, you deserve it.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (640 – 19th Avenue N.W.) on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum. 5. Lorne, Amy and Taya Broman :

Our deepest condolences got out to you, the family, of Connie Quattrucci. To Aldo, Tony, Sylvanna and your families, please know that our thoughts are with you all during this sad time. Connie was a great woman whom we had the pleasure of getting to know during our visits at Aldo and Bonnie’s home in Calgary. She was a strong, vibrant woman who enjoyed the company of others. We shared some good laughs and some good vino, and some great rapini made with love by Connie. We will always remember her calling us out on not understanding her accent sometimes. She would say,” You no understanda me!” Then, the pressure was on to figure it out in a hurry. She was on to us! Haha! She had a great sense of humour and a big heart and we will miss her. Sending you all love, strength, and comfort.
    Big Hugs,
    With Love,
    The Bromans
