Przytycki, Harry

Harry Przytycki passed away in Toronto on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at the age of 93. Born in Poland, Harry was a survivor of the Lodz Ghetto and of Auschwitz. He lived in Israel for several years in the post-war period. A resident of Calgary for 57 years, Harry was a master tailor who was the proprietor of French Cleaners and Tailors at 12 Avenue and 1 Street S.W. until he retired at the age of 80. After residing in his home in ChinookPark for 48 years, Harry recently moved to Toronto. He will be missed by all who knew him. Harry is survived by his daughter Esther and son-in-law Melvyn Rosenfeld of Toronto; his son Hymie of Vancouver; grandson Jacob Rosenfeld and his wife Anita Raman of Boston; grandson David Rosenfeld of Toronto; and great-grandsons, Nathan and Ben Rosenfeld,  all of whom who will miss him deeply and cherish his memory. Harry was predeceased by his wife Sophie in 1998. Graveside Services will be held at the Erlton Jewish Cemetery (Erlton Street and 30th Avenue S.W.) on Sunday, August 3, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. After the service, the family will be sitting Shiva late Sunday afternoon, Sunday evening, and Monday morning at the Carriage House Inn (9030 MacLeod Trail South) and then in Toronto, ON commencing Tuesday.  If friends so desire, donations may be made directly to a charity of the donor’s choice.  Arrangements in care of the CHEVRA KADISHA OF CALGARY, North East Corner of Highway 22X & 37th Street S.W., Telephone: 244-4717
