PRUEGGER, Edmund “Ed” Anton

September 24, 2014 – Calgary, AB

Edmund Anton Pruegger beloved spouse of Patricia Berti of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the age of 80 years.

Ed was an accomplished violinist in his youth and was the owner of the Calgary Music Academy for nearly twenty years. He re-entered the academic world in his 50s, attending the University of Calgary, and then pursuing a Master’s Degree in Psychology at Simon Fraser University in 1993. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with Distinction in June 1990 from the University of Calgary. He enjoyed watching sports and was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan. He also liked playing video games, beating Pat at Spite and Malice while listening to his favorite composers, and snuggling with his cats Thumper and Grace. He would spend many hours watching and feeding all the birds and squirrels in his backyard.

Ed is survived by his loving spouse Patricia; children Linda (Larry Gerelus) of Okanagan Falls, BC, Valerie of Calgary, AB, Brian of St. Augustine, Florida; grandson Tyler; brother Bill of Lethbridge, AB; and extended family Gail and Lori of Lethbridge, AB.
