PROCTOR, Keith Wayne

October 3, 1938 – Brandon, Manitoba
August 9, 2014 – Calgary, Alberta

Raised in Brandon, Manitoba Keith was a proud sea cadet. He began his banking career in Regina and in 1964 moved to Los Angeles with the Crocker Bank (Wells Fargo). Keith was partner in a market farm in Sutherlin, Oregon. In 1976 he moved to Vancouver, BC to be closer to his sister Pat, brother-in-law Wayne Chislett, and two nieces Heather Chislett (Shahariw) and Laura Chislett. Keith worked at the BMO in Vancouver as a commercial loans officer and auditor until his retirement there in 1986. Keith married Susan Norman in 1979, later divorcing. Keith and Susan began MedTech Computers (Vancouver) in 1986 and moved to work in the Calgary office in 1991. Keith also worked at Avia Aviation as Executive Vice President. Keith’s passions were jazz and big band music, old movies, baseball, hockey, boating, and especially aviation.

Keith is survived by his nieces Heather Chislett (Shahariw) and Laura Chislett; and great-nephews Noah Barker and Felix Barker.

Funeral Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Willow Park (940 Acadia Drive SE) on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 11:30 a.m., with Visitation from 10:30 – 11:15 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.   2. Keith was a very valuable friend…I always admired his way of handling his life and he accomplished so much. We connected in San Diego in 1969 and were both amused at our identical choices of Ford
    Mustangs. Our last visit was at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Winnipeg just a few years ago and reunited with a lot of our old friends. You will be fondly remembered… ’til we meet again. Jack
