POUCETTE, Paul

February 20, 1930 – December 22, 2012

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Ada. He passed away peacefully at the Foothills hospital on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the age of 82 years old.

Throughout Paul’s life he touched many lives with his sense of humor. Paul was an accomplished bareback rider and his interest in sports was many. Paul was the recreation director for the Nakoda Nation for eight years. In that time he promoted Hockey, Rodeo, basketball, baseball for the young people in the community. He was instrumental for bringing the figure skating and swimming programs. His promotion of sports led him to be a member of the board for Treaty seven hockey league.

Paul leaves behind his loving wife and companion of fifty-two years, Kathleen; sons and daughters, Koko (Fred), Pauline (Darrell), Paget, Miranda, Sandra, Paula (Marvin), Natalie (Rob), Rachel, Lee (Darla, Kyle (Tashina); twenty-four grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; adopted sons, Myrtrs (Tia), Merle (Lillian) Yellowbird, Emmett Crowchild, Kenny Healy, Jason Doore, and Robert (Audrey) Breaker. Paul also leaves behind a sister Lucy Poucette and brother Andy Poucette; cousin Margery Tym; in-laws Viola and Clarice; numerous nieces, nephews and extended families of the Poucette’s, Kaquitts, Crawlers, Wesley, Wildman, Twoyoungmen, Kootenay, Dixon, Mclean, and Labelle.

Paul was predeceased by his mother and father; son Jason; daughter Valda; Brothers Pierce, Casey, John; and a sister Joyce.

The family would like to apologize if we have missed anyone.

Wake Services will be held at the residence of the late Paul Poucette (Morley, AB) on December 27 and 28, 2012. Funeral Services will be held at The Bearspaw Youth Centre (Morley, AB) on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Wesley Cemetery (Morley, AB).
