  2. Donna Hogeland (Morley, AB) :

I was shocked and deeply saddened to learn of Connie’s passing. I have been friends with Connie since 1986, when I first came to work, and subsequently live, on the Stoney Nakoda Nation. Whenever we would meet, Connie always warmly greeted me and asked how I was doing. You knew she genuinely wanted to know. Connie was a woman of strength, honesty, and integrity. I visited with Connie on June 19 in the Canmore Hospital. She was looking forward to being discharged the next day. We had a most enjoyable conversation, and agreed we would get together sometime during the summer. I have no doubt we will meet again…in Heaven. To Connie’s family, may each memory feel like a small patch of sunlight, warming your days, soothing your heart, and giving you peace. I hope it helps somewhat to know that others are keeping you all close in thought at this time. ~ Kindest personal regards, Donna

  3. My thoughts and prayers are with Connie’s family and friends. She welcomed me to Morley when I first arrived, opened her home and her heart to me and we became fast friends. I will miss her smiling face, her warm, generous loving way. May we all find peace in knowing that we are bound together by the love she shared with us.
    Blessings,
    Lori Craig 🙂
