Brian passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 27, 2013 after a short but courageous battle with a brain tumor, with his family by his side.
Brian joined the Canadian Navy at the age of seventeen and that sparked his interest in travel. Together with his wife Wendy, they enjoyed numerous vacations in Mexico and the Caribbean. Recently they lived in Panama and enjoyed travels throughout Central and South America.
Brian is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Wendy; his mother Ruby; sister Karen (Roger) Fletcher; extended family, Warren (Maryann) Locke, Robert (Lesley) Locke, Judy Locke, Patty (Martin) Davidson, and Kathy (Jack) Johnson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He had a special relationship with his best friend Lindsay Strong and family.
