It is with a very heavy heart that Karen and I just heard of Richard’s passing. Our thoughts are with you all. Richard was as giving a person as we have meet. Whether he was volunteering in Taylor’s class at Sam Livingstone, leading our Cub packs and Scout camps or volunteering at his church, Richard was always helping others. He was one of the most talented and passionate Geologists that I have worked with and I will always remember his eternal optimism.
Karen and I are out of town and will be unable to attend Mondays service but will be thinking of you.

  13. Joanne Robertson :

    Brenda and Family,

Please accept my condolences on the passing of your Husband and Father. I worked with Richard at Tiverton, and always enjoyed hearing of the delicious sounding meals he would prepare for all of you. He loved the Food Network, and got me hooked!
No one in the office shared in his joy, and absolute delight, the day he brought the canned Chicken into work for lunch though! He was able to enjoy that all to himself, and he didn’t have to share a bite!
He spoke often of his love for you Brenda, and of his children. He was always the first one into the office, and the first to leave, so he could be home for his kids after school. I had spoken with Richard a couple of months ago, and he was just beaming through the phone telling me how proud he was of his children.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all!

    Brenda and family,
I was so shocked to hear of Richard’s passing as he gave me much encouragement in my operating the Tiverton oil and gas wells at Bellshill and his new find in the Galahad field. My prayers are with you all, and will always cherish the memories of the Tiverton Christmas parties and visits to the field.
