Harvey Poffenroth beloved husband of Diane Donaldson passed away at home on Friday, July 19, 2013 at the age of 86 years.
Harvey was born and raised in the Red Deer Lake area and took over the family farm where he continued to farm his entire life. He was also involved in raising and racing Standardbred horses for over thirty years. Harvey and Diane spent their retirement years wintering in La Paz, Mexico where he enjoyed the sea and was an avid fisherman and boatman.
Harvey had a giving heart and touched the lives of many. He is dearly loved and will be sadly missed.
Besides his loving wife Diane, Harvey is survived by his children, Corinne (Brian) Lynch, Rhonda (Graham) Cannon, Joan Poffenroth, Kevin Poffenroth and Jodie (Tom) Anderson; eleven grandchildren, Jesse (Sarah), Amy (Tavis), Sheena (Glenn), Kelsey, Joel (Jessica), Jody (Jim), Winston, Riley, Sam, Shona and Brodie; as well as by eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Brian and infant son Henry.
