It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and best friend, Edna “Cecile” Pillage (nee Goodreau) on Friday, October 5, 2012 at the age of 89 years.

Born in Pincher Creek, AB in 1923, Cecile married Bertram Edwin Pillage in 1957 and raised their children first in Edmonton and then subsequently moved to Calgary in 1963. Besides raising her children, Cecile had a long career working as a cashier at SAIT. Cecile was known for her warm, kind and gentle personality and her love of laughter. She was a very devoted Catholic to the end.

Cecile will be dearly missed by her daughters, Susan, Beverly and Bobbie; her step-daughter Patricia; her grandchildren, Kristin, Joshua and Amy; and great-grandchild Ruca; as well as her dear friends, Jack Sing and Graeme Smith. Cecile was predeceased by her husband Ed in 2004 as well as all her siblings.

A Private Family Service will be held. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in Cecile’s honour may be made directly to the Terry Fox Foundation, Unit D10, 6115 – 3 Street S.E., Calgary, AB T2H 2L2 Telephone: (403) 212-1336, www.terryfoxrun.org.
