I offer my very sincere condolences for the loss of Byron. I remember the early days of our youth with Byron, going to the West Side School, playing road hockey, and later on, going to high school in New Glasgow. What a great motorcycle he had in those days! Very sorry for the loss to the families.

  21. Dear Donna ..Thinking of you this past week and knowing what you are going thru saddens my heart. I remember Byron with a smile on my face as he could always make us all smile. His dry sense of humor was always refreshing. I also remember how he loved boiled tea so strong I couldn’t drink it but he would insist that is how it should be. Haven’t seen you in many years but always remember your wonderful smile hopefully you are blessed with many friends close by that will help you thru this time. Take care!

Dear Jeff, Debbie, Cindy, and Arthur (Woofer!) It is with heavy hearts and yet so many great Victoria Ave memories that we send along our sincere condolences to you all, and to Donna and Brennan. Byron was a dandy guy and so much the ‘carbon copy’ of Art..and that was not a bad thing..quite the contrary. I guess one could say he took life seriously but not himself. We had a first hand view through our kitchen window into yours and the ‘audio’ was never a problem with the ‘paper thin walls’ of the houses on Victoria Ave..there were no secrets and we shared and enjoyed a reciprocal deal on many aspects of the Pikes/MacIsaacs lives..from Duke and Kline..to Pipe Band Drummers and Pipers to our memorable Xmas visits..they all come flooding back and make for a wonderful legacy of those family friendships..always will be values and cherished.

Our sincere condolences for your terrible loss. It seems like only yesterday when I used to sit for hours on Victoria Avenue watching Byron “fine tune” his old Chev and many other experimental cars that he had “jury-rigged”! A lot of fond memories over the years. Hopefully the suffering is over and the healing can begin.
