PETERSON – Douglas Bryan

January 25, 1948 – February 24, 2011

Douglas Bryan Peterson passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 24, 2011 at the age of 63.

Doug will be greatly missed by Maureen, his best friend and loving wife of thirty-seven years; his son Geoff (Tanya) along with Doug’s two grandchildren Kale and Preston; his daughter Melissa (Paul); his sister Evelyn (Burt) and all of his extended family. Doug will also be greatly missed by his many wonderful friends and colleagues who brought such joy into his life.

A Celebration of Doug’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. You may forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful care Doug received in his final days at the Agape Hospice, and to his treatment team at the Tom Baker Cancer Center.

    The entire McDonald family, Judy, Jim, Kelly and Kevin share our hearts with all of you. I feel blessed that I had a time in my life which connected me to Doug. He was a joy of a man and I will always treasure my times and memories with him on the hill. His contribution to snowboarding of course was backed up by his dearest wife who led the pack for many years and made a wonderful difference.
