PERRY, Edward (Ed) Nelson

December 13, 1937 – Petitcodiac, New Brunswick
November 29, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta

Ed, beloved husband of Ethel Mary Perry (nee Rogers) of Calgary, AB, passed away on November 29, 2017 at the age of 79 years.

Ed was born and raised in Petitcodiac, New Brunswick. He served in the Airforce for twenty-three years as a photographer. He won many national awards for his photos. In 1969, while still in the service, he managed bowling centers in Shilo, Manitoba and Cold Lake, Alberta.
After retirement from the service, he began his second career in Medicine Hat, Alberta as manager at Park Lane Bowl. He was heavily involved in Provincial and National Bowling Associations. Upon moving to Calgary in 1986, Ed has been involved in managing/owning four bowling centers. His final project was to move the Bowling Depot to its current location.

Ed enjoyed fishing, stamp collecting, woodworking, sports and especially family gatherings. He loved nothing better than to bug the grandchildren!

Besides his loving wife, Ethel, Ed is survived by his children and their spouses, Dean and Tessa, Cheryl and Allen, Lorri and Brian and Kelly. He will be missed by his eight grandchildren and their families, Stephanie, Samantha, Christopher, Miranda, Melanie, Kalee, Jake and Ashley. Ed is also survived by his seven siblings from down east and was predeceased by his parents, brother Reg and his in-laws.

A Celebration of Ed’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek Reception Centre, 14441 Bannister Road S.E., Calgary, AB) on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
