Kaiti was such a beautiful person inside and out. I was blessed to teach Kaiti dance at Counterpoint for several years. She did Ballet with a certain elegance yet strength, Jazz with energy and precision, Hiphop- she always remembered my choreography, laughing that I always forgot it, and Lyrical.
Out of all the dance styles Kaiti did so well, I enjoyed watching her do Lyrical the most- she danced it with such emotion and beauty, I was always just taken aback. We have a special language in dance that only other dancers understand. I will treasure those memories and one day will dance with her again.

Kaitlan was a true joy to have in my Teacher Advisor group at Bishop Carroll. She was such a kind, sweet girl whose talents were inspiring to see in all that she accomplished. I enrolled my own daughter into Counterpoint because I admired the dedication and focus that Kaitlan showed in everything she did at school. It is heartbreaking to hear of her passing and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

  49. Daphne & Ed Blandford :

    To the family of Kaiti,
We want to express our heartfelt sympathy to you in this time of heartache and sorrow. We don’t’ know you and we’ve never met Kaiti but we are parents of 3 adult sons and we can not even imagine loosing one of them, so in some small way we are trying to put ourselves in your shoes to somehow try and understand what you are experiencing at this time. We will never understand the depraved mind of the person who caused this terrible tragedy and loss of 5 young lives, try as we might. There are countless questions without answers but through it all, you are not alone. God is with you and many, many people in this country of ours have you on their minds and also the parents and families of the other 4 young people. We pray that God in his tender mercy will give you strength and courage to keep going in the days ahead, it will be difficult but please know you will be lifted up in prayer many times. Cherish the many memories you must have of your beautiful daughter and hopefully they will bring you some measure of comfort in your grief.

without a warning no words spoken
    you were taken away
someone said you could not stay

empty and lonely is what we are
we lost a precious shining star

looking at that star you lit
in our thoughts forever you will be
for ever free to fly and touch the stars.
