PENNER, Mya Grace

March 20, 2011 – January 14, 2013

Our angel Mya Grace, our little girl with the huge grin, fly-a-way hair and big personality was born on March 20, 2011 and passed away suddenly in her sleep on January 14, 2013. We do not know why this happened and our hearts are broken, but our lives were forever changed the first moment we saw those chubby cheeks. Please pray for us, this journey of grief is unimaginable. Mommy, Daddy and Zoe miss our little monkey so much.

Mya is missed by her parents, Amy and Jason, and her big sister Zoe, many extended family members and friends. In lieu of flowers send donations to the Calgary Zoo.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

In living memory of Mya Penner, a tree will be planted at Big Hill Springs Park Cochrane by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Chapel of the Bells, 2720 CENTRE STREET NORTH, Telephone: 403-276-2296.

  11. Jane E Shankorik :

You have been in my thoughts over a month now. I saved Maya Grace’s annoucement in the paper and it has been sitting on my counter for over a month, with a little pebble on top of it. My Grandson, he’s three years, brought it in from outside. When he saw the little picture of a pretty girl with a big smile, his little hand reached into his pocket for the pebble and he gently placed it on top of the newspaper clipping, just to the left of her picture. It was just a little stone, kind of special to him, and now it’s Mya’s. He went on to do something else and I stood there looking at the 3″x2″ notice, her sweet face, her beautiful name and the pebble. It will stay in that place. And I hope some of my energy will help to take some of your heartache away. Like a rock. Take very good care.
