Condolence Messages

  1. Glen Hammerlindl :

I met Frances in 1971 when I moved to Calgary from U of A Edmonton. I was invited into the Pelletier home as a guest of Janice. Frances made me feel very welcome and comfortable in her home. I was a guest of the Pelletiers several times over the course in the next couple of years. Frances always made me feel like one of her own. It was reassuring to know I had another mother close by. I also visited Frances and Bunny at their motel/motor lodge in Banff. Again I was treated like one of her own. I last saw Frances in the spring of 2011. She wasn’t entire sure she knew me even though I had brought along my 1971 graduation picture. She did however take a shine to my wife Nancy. It was nice to have seen Frances again and to watch as she enjoyed her visit with Nancy. To her kids, you had a great mom. Thanks for sharing her with me.

Dear Jerry, Janice, Joanne & Families:
We are so sorry to see in the Calgary Herald of your Mom’s passing. She did live a good long life and to the fullest. You were so lucky to have her with you all for that long. I would really like to have one of you contact me, as when one leaves a city, you do loose touch and contact. We are now in Okotoks and our phone no. is 403-982-6645 and would really like to get caught up on the families. You all are grandparents just like us. Time surely does go by fast. You will be in our prayers on Friday and do take care and please lets keep in touch. God Bless You All and guide you in this sad and most difficult time when must face and deal with in our lifetime. Take care. LOVE – Donna Marie & John

  4. Jerry-Lynn Burden :

    Dear Pelletier Family…

I am so sorry not to be present today while you celebrate the life of your dear Mom, but hopefully our thoughts and love will transcend the miles between us.

Since Janice and I were new friends together in kindergarten in Fort McLeod, through the summers we exchanged “city mouse and country mouse” experiences in Calgary and at our farm in Vulcan, through the year I lived with Frances and Bunny in Calgary and the summer I spent working at the Driftwood in Banff, your family has been my other family and I cherish you all. The memories remain strong, and central to those are the giving, loving hospitality shown by Frances, not just to me, but to all who passed through her home.

Frances was as feisty and fun-loving as Bunny was the gentle, jovial Jerome, which is why, I think, they made such an awesome pair! How wonderfully fitting that 2 new great grandbabies have entered your family as your mom takes her leave to reunite with Bunny. It is the beautiful circle of life at its best and we wish you love, and peace, as you celebrate all that she was to each of you.

John and Jerrry-Lynn and our BGANG*

    Dear Janice and family,

Even though I never met your mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she left a wonderful legacy of love and caring through her family. May God bless you all as you celebrate her life and grieve her passing.

    Love and prayers
