Clare, loving husband, father, Grandfather, great-grandfather, artist and gardener extraordinaire, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at the age of 83.
Clare was born January 8, 1929 in Provost, Alberta then spent his school years living in Edmonton. Clare married the love of his life, Eileen on May 28, 1955, and relocated to Calgary where they shared a wonderful 57 years together.

Clare also loved camping and spent many happy times camping with family and friends. He loved nothing better than sitting around the campfire roasting a piece of sausage! Clare’s keen sense of humor led to memorable practical jokes played on family and friends.
Clare adored his children and grandchildren. Affectionately known to his grandchildren as Papa, he had a great influence on their lives. He was a wonderful role model; sharing generously of his time, love, support, and wisdom. His legacy will live on in their hearts forever.
